Ultimate Teacher Whiteboard (“the app”) is a classroom teaching tool. A teacher prepares a lesson on an iPad and may share it live with students. This policy describes how the app handles data today. It is not a certification of FERPA or COPPA compliance.
Teachers sign in with email and password, Sign in with Apple, or Google. The app stores the teacher’s Firebase user ID and, when provided, email or name so the teacher can own live sessions and manage their account.
Students do not create lasting accounts. They join a live board anonymously, enter a short display name for that class only, and the teacher can see that name during the session. The name is not saved to a teacher account, lesson file, export, or profile. Student presence is removed when the session ends.
Whiteboards, ink, photos, PDFs, text, and web snapshots live on the teacher’s iPad. If the teacher starts a live session, that lesson content is sent to Firebase so students can watch. Live session content is deleted about one hour after the session ends. Photos and PDFs the teacher imports stay on the device until the teacher deletes the lesson or their data.
During a live session the teacher may use the microphone so students can hear them. The teacher may also allow selected students to speak. Audio is for the live class; the app does not keep an in-app recording archive.
Connecting Google Drive is optional and teacher-only. Access is limited to files the teacher picks. Credentials stay on the device and are removed when the teacher disconnects. Imported files become static copies on the board.
Crash reporting is off unless a signed-in teacher turns it on in Settings. Eligible reports include crash details and error codes. They do not include lesson content, student names, email, website addresses, or credentials.
A teacher can export whiteboards, delete data on this iPad, or permanently delete their account in Privacy & Data. Account deletion ends live sessions, revokes Google Drive access, deletes the sign-in, and then removes local data.
Google Firebase / Google Cloud provides authentication, database, storage, and functions. LiveKit Cloud may carry live audio and board updates during a remote session.
